Natural Gas Services
Reliable natural gas service is available for all large public sector facilities with risk management services that help to stabilize the cost of this volatile commodity. This is the state's largest public sector gas-purchasing program. We obtain competitive bids from private sector gas suppliers for our customers. Where possible, we make advanced purchases of natural gas at favorable prices to help avoid some of the effects of sudden price increases. All necessary purchasing and transportation services are provided, as well as market information and CPUC representation services. Program costs to public sector members are less than 1% of total gas costs, currently $.0065 per therm delivered.
